Session Review

I have revisited my Gorillaz CD cover and I making small edits such as applying shading to their cloths to add a layer of depth and I want darker colours to appropriately interrupt the gritty, grunge theme I am attempting to portray.

Furthermore, I made improvements to the typography on the back cover and rotated the tracklist and then wrote the bands name roughly with photoshops paintbrush. The reason for me creating typography with the paintbrush was to add more of the rough, graffiti feel to the cd cover. I also managed to find the European cd cover variant from a website named ww.vblurpage.com. This was a relief because the cd information and publisher symbol was there and finally applied a layer of authenticates to my cd cover; however, as I forcefully made efforts to adjust and fit the information amongst the other artwork and typography on the back cover, eventually I came to the conclusion that there was to much information and decided to delete it. I then browsed the internet to find a second cd cover and this time it only figured a small section of information and the publisher's logo.

Applying an extra coat of paint to shade their clothing
The second images text fit nicely amongst the artwork and finally applied the layer of authenticates that I desired. Although the plain white background looked very effective; however, it still bothered me it because it looked to digitally clean, so I remembered the pictures I photographed back in the Digbeth area in Birmingham of local graffiti and some artists placed art on newspapers or some on old factory wall. So I believed taking a picture of a decrepit whitewall or browsing for one on the internet would do the trick although I will consult my lecturer Andy on this final edit of applying a white grunge wall to the cd cover.
