Pukka Pies Re-invention Session 2

Session Review
Following on from the previous Pukka pie session, I continued to sketch different typography fonts and continue my secondary research on Pukka Pies the company. During the time I browsed through the website I came across their news page detailing all of the companies recent activity and I noticed that they had appeared to sponsor quite a few local sports teams from Leicestershire or sports events such s the 2009 World Snooker Championship. Additionally, they also awarded prizes to the best chip shops around the United Kingdom likely for their level of service and possibly whether they are able to sell a large quantity of pukka pies since most chip shops feature them inside.
Also, Pukka Pies would be sponsoring the television show Friends on Comedy Central and because of this new sponsorship they produced a series of short advertisements of four friends eating various pukka pies; furthermore, after reading of this newfound information it would seem Pukka Pies usually aim their products towards their own local town of Leicester and other various local chip shops. This simplicity and along with tier slogan "Pukka Pies Don't Compromise" the company is slightly informal and down to earth this could be a good theme to help rebrand the product.
I have also undertaken additional secondary research on Leicester City football club and Leicestershire city councils coat of arms and their local university and observed the images and symbols all three used and one recurring image is that of the Fox and the colour orange. So I wonder if this is why Pukka Pies use the colour orange for their company?
Overall using this secondary research my concept for the promotional poster is to have the old Pukka Pie shed its old wrapper and the new product will emerge from it similar to the company Ikea and their constant themes of modernism, simplicity and functionality.
